In spite of unforseen obstacles and a major screw up on my part, the move was successful. Goodbye Manhattan and hello San Francisco.

Although I must admit that it feels eerie being away from the east, I can't shake the sense of freedom I experience everytime I gaze upon my new abode.

No more Jamaican neighbor with a million cats urinating and deficating on my doorstep, no more police sirens waking me up in the middle of the night, and no more braving a cramped metro station to get to work on time.

Just lots of sunshine, sea air, and some of the best seafood in the world.

Maybe now that I'm away from New York and all of the turmoil of the east, I'll finally be able to start enjoying life instead of simply existing within a box in the heart of an urban warzone.
